SOLD! So, here’s a few tips for other sellers…
I sold 22 inches for $500 to Keepsake , a custom doll-making company in El Paso, TX. Seems to be a great guy, and is totally legit. Payment cleared PayPal, I sent insured with delivery confirmation, USPS, he received, and it was a great transaction!
JW Styles in the Twin Cities, MN pays good money to cut your hair. Don’t be turned off yet – he’s NOT a fettish! He does long-to-short makeover videos to sell to TV shows etc, and for stylists looking for ideas. You can sell the hair to him directly, or you can keep the hair and sell to someone else. I would’ve had him cut it, but the timing didn’t work out quite right.
From what I can tell after putzing around trying to sell it for over a year, the best time to sell is late September/early October. That’s when the best offers came in, but at the time I was too busy to be anywhere near prompt, or I rejected the offers thinking that I could get more for the hair. I also had a $700 offer from John Reed jreedcleve[at] toast.net last spring that I’m wishing I would’ve accepted, but at the time I wasn’t willing to cut 24 inches. He seems pretty legit to me.

Many of my offers were overseas. I would not recommend shipping overseas, although it has been done safely. Just compare the USPS insurance costs for shipping overseas vs. in-country and you’ll see that they’re not very confident that it’ll show up. But aside from that, the overseas buyers will probably ask you to mark the item as worth much less than it’s worth, so they can avoid customs fees. But that leaves you NO recourse if the Post Office loses it!
PayPal was a great way to go, but before you make the transaction make sure that you’re familiar with its policies, seller protection, buyer protection, etc., and DON’T ship until payment is CLEARED! If it’s one of your first PayPal transactions, as it was mine, PayPal will clear the money, (which I think means that the money is out of the buyer’s account with no problems and is in custody of PayPal,) but the money will not be yours until the buyer receives the package and reports no problems with the item. Then it’s yours. But either way, DON’T ship until PayPal says it’s okay to ship. It would probably also help to check to see if the buyer is a confirmed PayPal buyer as well.

Extremely fine, doubly thick, and 100% virgin! I have never used heat treatments and am completely drug, alcohol, and smoke-free.
Although my hair is naturally straight, I keep my hair in braids most of the time, so in some of the pictures it appears a bit wavy:-)
My hair has not been cut yet, so I can cut all 24 inches to your specifications.
